Sega Announce they’re Back in the Hardware Business
Here some big news for Sega Gamers. SEGA have Merge a partnership with Retro bit. If you havent heard of them already, they are a hardware company that are renown for being at the forefront of the retro gaming world . Releasing Micro consoles, controllers , and more since 2007.
As stated from reto bit.com .The first products and concepts under the agreement include several accessories that feature the same great quality as their original Sega counterparts like the original console port, but also with modern upgrades such as a USB port for PC compatibility and Bluetooth wireless technology.
The pictures below were taken at At CES this week and sourced from a post by Tommy Wiliams
These controllers you see are designed to work with your PC, Mac, iOS, or Android devices, but you will also be able to purchase a separate Bluetooth Adaptor so you can use it with your original SEGA Consoles. For the mega Drive there are also Power supplies ,composite and the american favourite Svideo cables . For the Dreamcast you will also notice a wired black edition controller and a new VGA Adaptor .Defiantly some pretty big news for the Sega fans in the retro community .
With a strong partnership and successful sales i cant see why we also wont be getting any further products in near future . My hopes will be Micro Sega Dreamcast with HDMI SDCARD and Broadband connectivity . But any form of SEGA branded Mirco consoles, of any of they’re systems will be great .This is a untapped market with a lot of fans like myself that are waiting and excited to spill the cash . Personally i cant wait to see this opportunity grow with further products coming our way .
What NEW SEGA products are you looking forward to most ?
